To mark the centennial of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, 2018 has been proclaimed the Year of the Bird and Wild Birds Unlimited is a proud partner.

The Migratory Bird Treaty Act protects migratory birds and their nests from being hunted for sport or game, as well as being captured or exported. The Act was first established in 1918, codifying a treaty with Great Britain and is credited with saving many species from extinction. It has since become an international effort including treaties with Japan, Russia and Mexico. You can learn more about the Migratory Bird Treaty Act here.
